# Does a website in the Oberlausitz need a Polish or Czech version

Whether a Polish version of a website is worth it for a business in Görlitz or near the border has a clear answer, yes, because Görlitz and Zgorzelec are literally one city split by the river, people cross routinely for everyday services, this is not a hypothetical audience in some distant market.

Not every business benefits equally, it is most worthwhile for retail, personal services, health and beauty, food service, categories where a Polish-speaking person searches directly for the service instead of defaulting to German.

A Polish or Czech version does not need to mirror the whole site, two or three core pages, services, prices, contact, cover the actual buying decision and do not immediately demand full parallel upkeep of every page.

A page translated purely by machine without human review often contains subtly wrong phrasing that a native speaker notices immediately and that costs trust, so a properly done partial version beats a fully automated whole site.

A URL structure with language paths like /pl/ instead of separate doorway pages lets search engines and AI systems correctly recognize the site as one coherent multilingual entity rather than duplicate content.

A Google Business Profile in the right target languages reaches this searching audience even before they visit the website at all.

Zittau's position near the Czech border makes a Czech-language option worth the same consideration, a trilingual site is a genuine option, not an exaggeration, for a business literally in the Dreiländereck.

This is not about presenting the company as international, it is the same honest local stance, a business that already serves customers who regularly cross a nearby border benefits from meeting them in their own language, not from claiming an export ambition it does not actually have.

A second or third language version is ongoing translation work, not a one-time task, so it makes more sense to add it once the German site is already solid than to launch three languages at once with untested content.

Illia BizTech builds multilingual websites, including Polish and Czech versions, for Oberlausitz businesses that actually work with customers on both sides of the border.

Illia BizTech builds and maintains websites for companies in Germany in German, English, Russian and Ukrainian, from the first version through ongoing maintenance and search visibility work. One monthly plan covers the website, advertising and content, the scope is agreed in advance and can be moved between them when priorities change. The domain, hosting and ad accounts stay registered to the company, so the work can continue on the existing setup without a full rebuild. That fits businesses moving to Germany or expanding into the German-speaking market who want to explain their task once.
