# 18,100 searches a month, are that many people using AI Mode?

The figure came from a keyword tool. It was sold to us as a user count.

A proposal said AI Mode gets 18,100 searches a month in Germany, and that we therefore urgently need to be visible there. We run two bike shops. What does that figure actually say, before we release money for it?

It says something other than what the proposal implies. The 18,100 is a rounded twelve-month average for one German search term, and what it counts is searches. How many people used the tab afterwards appears nowhere in it.

Someone typing the term is usually after an explanation of a new feature. Someone using the tab daily rarely types its name into a search box again. Those are two different groups of people, and how large either one is the figure does not say.

What you want to know is whether you get mentioned at all. Your own position appears in no keyword tool. Nine conversations with ChatGPT, Gemini and Google go into the [AI visibility report](https://illia-biztech.de/en/ki-sichtbarkeitsbericht), which counts how often your shop comes up in them.
