# Our holiday apartment in Dresden suddenly shows one Local Guide's detailed review right at the top, above our own guest reviews

Google gives certain top Local Guides program members a new gold badge that makes their reviews stand out more than others.

On our holiday apartment listing in Dresden, a very detailed review with a small gold marker next to the reviewer's name has recently pinned itself to the top, clearly more visible than other, sometimes more detailed reviews from our own guests.

We did not change anything ourselves. Where does this highlighting come from, and can it be influenced?

That marker comes from a redesign of the Local Guides program, reported by Search Engine Land on 7 April 2026\. Top contributors have since received new gold profile indicators, and the piece states directly that this makes their reviews stand out more on a business's own listing too.

There is no direct way to influence it. The highlighting depends on the reviewer's own Guide status. The review's own content plays no part in it. Making sure a listing's own reviews build up in number and substance is something [Illia BizTech](https://illia-biztech.de/en/webdesign-dresden) still handles for holiday apartments in Dresden, so one highlighted entry does not end up shaping the whole picture.
