# Location asset rejected over the business name in Google Maps ads | Illia BizTech

> The rejection names the business, and the ad account holds no field for it. Google keeps that information somewhere else entirely.

# The location block in our ad was rejected and Google Ads has no field for it

The rejection points at the business name, and no such field exists in the ad account at all.

We sell flooring. In August 2026 we added location assets to our search ads so the branch would show on the map. Two days later a rejection arrived pointing at the business name.

I went through the ad account twice. There is no field for that name in it. The ad still runs, just without the map part.

The field is not missing by accident. Google's location asset policy states that the business information and the location images live in the Business Profile and are only pulled into the ad account. What you are looking at in Google Ads is a copy.

The trigger is nearly always the spelling. A name written with promotional capitals or extra symbols breaks the editorial policy, the review lands on the copy, and the source stays as it was. Another pass through the ad account will therefore find nothing.

The route runs through the Google Business Profile. Write the name there in ordinary title case, with no additions describing the offer. Then unlink the profile from the ad account and link it again, because the correction otherwise sits behind the old copy.

There is a side effect worth the trouble. The same name appears in your listing on the map, and a listing kept in order is the foundation for everything built on top of it. Where the profile and the ad account sit with different people, this handover is the part that usually slips. [Illia BizTech](https://illia-biztech.de/en/) runs both together, and that is the only reason it comes up here.

Google Maps ads are assembled from two separate systems. The ad account supplies budget, targeting and ad text. The map block with the address, the distance and the photograph comes from the company's own listing, and the ad account displays a copy of it.

Keeping a Google Business Profile in order also keeps the foundation of the ads in order. A rejection that names the business is repaired in the listing. The place that displays it holds no editable copy. After the repair the link between the two accounts has to be rebuilt once, or the changed value never reaches the ad.
