Google has explicitly excluded the European Economic Area from Business Profile management through the Gemini web app.

We read an article claiming that opening hours, posts and even review replies can now be handled straight through a chat with Google Gemini. Clicking through the profile itself would not be needed at all. For our hair salon in Dresden, with holiday hours that change often, that sounds genuinely useful.

Before trying it, we would like to know whether this feature is even usable in Germany yet.

Not in Germany for now. Google documents managing a Business Profile through the Gemini web app, a feature announced 10 June 2026, as available wherever the Gemini web app is supported, with an explicit exception for the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom.

Germany sits inside the European Economic Area, so a hair salon in Dresden cannot currently use this feature through the Gemini web app, however thoroughly the article describes it. Whether and when that changes goes unstated on Google's side.

Until then, changing holiday hours still runs through the regular profile, or an integration that automates those changes. Handling that kind of ongoing adjustment is what [Illia BizTech](https://illia-biztech.de/en/services/website-leads) does for this salon, regardless of which individual Google features happen to be available.

An article describes managing a Google profile through a Gemini chat as a convenient new option. For a hair salon in Dresden, this feature is not currently available.

Google documents the feature as available everywhere except the European Economic Area and the UK. Germany falls under that exception, so regular profile management remains the only path for now.
