A self-styled social media consultant gave our nail studio in Dresden a specific fixed daily minimum for Meta advertising, claiming the campaign would not even start without it.

We would like to test with a smaller amount before committing more. Does that hard floor genuinely exist, or does it depend on the campaign?

A flat floor does not exist. Meta says so plainly in its own documentation. The minimum budget is calculated separately based on business vertical, budget type, bid strategy, optimization goal, currency and schedule.

Ads Manager simply shows a warning when the entered budget falls below that calculated figure, and only a softer recommendation when the gap is small. Meta names no single number that applies the same way to every campaign. The one hard, documented rule concerns cost per result. The daily budget should be at least five times the target cost per result.
