Our Google profile recently ended up automatically merged with that other operator's profile, our photos and reviews now show up under their name. Google's duplicate-detection system checks the listed address first and foremost, and when two independent operators enter the same meeting point as their address, because neither has a real storefront, the system readily treats that as one and the same business. A documented, very similar case in the US shows exactly this happening to two competing hot-air-balloon operators sharing the same public meeting point, right down to photos and reviews landing on the wrong profile. Getting it back there required a formal ownership request to Google, a simple fix in your own dashboard wasn't enough. Going forward, it helps to list the meeting point not as a fixed address but through the service-area setting for a business with no walk-in customer traffic, which stops the address itself from being used for that kind of matching.
