# The keyword tool shows a zero for all our terms

Does that mean nobody is really searching for these questions?

We do house removals. We wanted to write pieces on a few questions customers ask us on the phone, and the keyword tool shows a zero for almost all of them.

Now we are not sure whether the work is worth it or whether we are writing past the demand.

A zero there does not mean zero searches. It means the value sits below the tool's reporting threshold. In our own export of September 2026 the lowest value was ten searches a month, and everything under that came back with no volume at all.

Of 36 German terms on the subject of AI search, 19 came back with no measurable volume. Among them were the phrasings a customer uses to describe their own problem in their own words.

Whether there is demand, you hear on the phone. The tool simply does not count it. For your question that means two things. A piece written for a zero term brings little measurable traffic from search in the short run. It does set down the answer you already give on the phone, and a customer can read it before calling.

Anyone wanting to write pieces on the questions customers ask on the phone usually finds no figures for them. A zero in a keyword tool does not mean zero searches. It means the value sits below the reporting threshold. Whether nobody searches for it or only a very few, the tool does not distinguish at that point.

A business hears demand on the phone, and the tool simply does not count it. In the short run a piece like that brings little measurable traffic from search. It does fix the answer a customer would otherwise only get in conversation, and whether that answer reaches AI is checked separately.
