Google's automatic in-store product showcase with live stock counts is limited to five countries, and Germany is not one of them.

An article described how US stores feed live stock counts into free Google product listings through a connected barcode scanner or their POS system. For our toy shop in Dresden, with a constantly changing range, that sounded exactly right.

Checking our own profile, we could not find this option anywhere. Are we just missing the right setting?

No, the setting is not hidden. It simply does not exist for Germany. Google's own help page for the automatic in-store product showcase lists being located in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland or Australia as a requirement.

Germany is absent from that list, regardless of category, POS system, or barcode data on the shop's own side. This restriction covers only that fully automatic version. The separate manual products editor in the profile is not subject to the same country limit and can still be filled in by hand.

For a toy shop with a frequently changing range, that manual route is the one that remains. That ongoing upkeep is what [Illia BizTech](https://illia-biztech.de/en/services/website-leads) takes on for Dresden retailers, given the automatic version simply is not available here.

A toy shop in Dresden looks for the automatic live-stock product showcase described in an article about US stores, and cannot find it. Google's own country list explains why.

Per Google, the automatic version is limited to the US, Canada, UK, Ireland and Australia. The separate manual products editor is not subject to that same limit.
