# Our Local Services Ads in Ulm now show a different badge than before, is that a mistake?

An electrical business in Ulm suddenly sees a new, unified badge on its Local Services Ads in place of the familiar Google Guaranteed mark.

We've been running Local Services Ads for our electrical business in Ulm for two years, always with the familiar Google Guaranteed badge. Recently our ad started showing just a plain 'Google Verified'. The old badge is gone.

Our customers knew the Guaranteed badge and the money-back guarantee that came with it. Is this a glitch on our end, or did something change fundamentally?

This isn't a mistake on your end; it's a deliberate change. On October 20, 2025, Google replaced every previous Local Services Ads badge, meaning Google Guaranteed, Google Screened, and License Verified, with one single unified 'Google Verified' badge, for every advertiser at once.

The old Google Guarantee reimbursement program tied to the former Guaranteed badge ended at the same time. After that date, reimbursement claims were only accepted for jobs booked before 7 December 2025, and only within 30 days of the service being completed. For your own communication, that means old marketing materials or explanations about the Guaranteed badge given to customers are worth updating, the earlier promise no longer exists in that form.
